Fever with convulsions
My niece is 11 months old,on 6th of this month she developed high fever n had a brief episode of convulsions.we immediately took the baby to local paediatrician and he gave antibiotics n antipyretics. now the baby is doing fine except for being agitated ,I wanted to know what should be our next step after the first episode of fever with convulsions. Thank you

Hi.... I can understand your concern.... If your child has a febrile seizure, stay calm and: Make sure your child is on a safe surface, such as the floor, and cannot fall down or hit something hard. Lay your child on his or her side to prevent choking. This is especially important if your child has a lot of saliva coming out of the mouth. Watch for breathing problems, including any color change in your child's face.....
