Fever with throat irritation and cough

Asked for Female, 28 Years

I caught a cough in the morning... By night it got worse and I have a mild fever. I am taking a cough syrup for the throat.. piriton. Can you recommend a medication for fever and if it's needed. I recovered from cold and cough a month back and have managed to catch cold again. I did a full antibiotics course then.
