Fibroids during pregnancy
Hi All, My wife is into her 3rd month of pregnancy and during our recent check up with our doctor she suggested for ultra sound abdomen scan full scan as she felt some tight below stomach. After the scan we were informed that of multiple fibroids with one as large as 65*40mm are noted and the position is little far from baby. So could please suggest if we can carry baby with fibroids if yes will there be any complication as our doctor as asked to wait for next month scan to know if the size of fibroid is growing or of same size and baby position.currently doctor has given Gestofit 300sr tablet along with Folic acid tablet. can fibroids presence hamper the growth of baby and any premature baby will be delivered if we are carrying the baby. Please suggest us in understanding the situation. Please suggest us best possible options for us. This is for our 2nd baby planning. Thank you in advance

Now she is already in her third month. If it is before pregnancy we would have advised you to get it removed. But now than the size of fibroid, the location of fibroid is also equally important. It may cause preterm labour, increased bleeding during delivery etc. But anyway take all the precautions and continue the pregnancy and complications has to be managed if occurs.

It depends on the location of fibroid..  Most of pregnancy outcome is uneventful.
