Hi, numbness is usually associated with either vascular or neurological disorders. Is there stiffness, morning pain, symmetrical involvement all have to be considered in addition to blood tests to rule out seopositive or seronegetive arthritis. Get a neurologist opinion first. I don't know which joint you are talking about getting replaced. 50 yrs is too young for a joint replacement ,but exceptions are there in certain conditions
