If you have a history of retinal detachment in one eye and peripheral retinal degeneration with rerinal hole in other eye, it needs to be barraged off with laser so that you donot develop RD in that eye also. Floaters per se donot cause any damage in the eye and are very commin. but if you develop sudden increase in tge number of floaters or start seeing flashes of light, immediately consult a retina specialist.
Next Steps
Get the retinal barrage laser done.
