For thick and healthy hair
I am 27 years old. I am having heavy hairfall due to which my hair has become very thin. I also have very dry scalp and frizzy and dandruff prone hair. I want a remedy for hairfall and want to have thick and healthy hair. Right now i am using a mixture of coconut, almond and castor oil before wash which i generally keep for minimum a day. Then I am washing my hair with loreal total repair 5 shampoo or tresemme botanique nourish and replenish shampoo and using loreal mythic oil conditioner after wash. My frequency of hair wash is mostly once in 2 weeks and I drink quite less water. The usage of heat on the hair is very minimal, like once in a month. Please suggest remedies for hairfall and changes in lifestyle and food habits which I should adopt for thick and healthy hair. Thanks.

There are many reasons for hair fall or thinning of hair on scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes are nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia or patterned baldness, hypothyroidism, telogen effluvium etc. Unless we find and treat the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Oils or shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Moreover, you should never self treat with anything. Please call me or send photographs using online consult option for proper diagnosis and detailed prescription.
