In younger age group anxiety is very common cause for memory related ussues. It may not be a primary memory problem but frequent lapses concentration(because of anxiety) often presents as difficulty in recalling stuff, things just skipping mind, and poor memory, etc.
General overthinking, pondering over minor issues, excessive analytical thinking etc. are few symptoms indicative of anxiety problem.
Although I am just suspecting a cause, it will take an in-person consultation to establish a condition. Considering the facts, I would suggest you to see a psychiatrist or psychologist.
