Formulae for baby
My baby (male) is 11weeks, birth weight was 4kg but he's weighing just 5.5kg as at 11 weeks. I have been doing exclusive breastfeeding but I want to introduce formulae because I feel he's not gaining weight and also I'm about to resume work. Which formula do u recommend and also how do I introduce him to bottle. Thanks.

Ideally, the weight should be double of birth weight at 5 months of age,and triple at 1 year of age. The best measure of milk intake is the urine output. Your baby's weight gain is OK,but can be better, ensure regularity in breastfeeds at regular intervals. Avoid top feed, which in any case have to be started after 5 months, but if forced to do so,all formulae are more or less the same. Just ensure strict hygiene.
