We don't know that it is a fungal infection of nail-till we see the patient and take a detailed history. It could be a result of nail injury or nail dystrophy. Please consult a dermatologist who will evaluate you fully. If needed, a piece of nail has to be sent for fungal culture and sensitivity. IF it is fungal infection, you need to take prescribed anti fungal tablets. Blood tests for diabetes are also a must.
