Gallstones
Hi, my husband is having gallstones measuring 6.5mm as shown in the reports attached.
Just wanted a consultation, do we need to get it operated or not. If yes, pls suggest a good doctor in Hyderabad city.
If not then what are the precautions he should take.

Ur husband needs surgery i.e laparoscopic removal of gall bladder

Hi...., The gallstones are only treated if they have caused gallbladder inflammation, blockage of the bile ducts, or if they have moved from the bile ducts into the intestines.... If the gallstone is made of cholesterol it can be slowly dissolved with ursodeoxycholic acid. This type of treatment may take up to 24 months to be effective. It is not as effective as surgery,...But it is helpful im patients who cannot undergo surgery.....
