Hi mam...
Gap between two front teeth medically called as midline diastema...
Reason for Gaps(midline diastema):
** Mesiodens( presence of small extra teeth between two front teeth which cause gaps)
**High frenal attachment( frenum is nothing but a muscular fiber attachement between two front teeth)
Get IOPA(X_ray) of the upper front teeth region to rule out the cause for midline diastema....
** If there is any mesiodens,get the mesiodens extracted before treatment of mifline diastema
**If there is high frenal attachment, then FRENECTOMY shold be done
After the elimination of cause of midline diastema , then go for ORTHODONTIC BRACES TREATMENT...
Next Steps
kindly visit nearby dentist for furthur consultation and management
I think you should consider braces. Orthodontic treatment will close the gap and is a natural physiologic way to treat you. If you put caps or composite, the two incisors will become larger.
Hi,you can go for either composite filling or a root canal filling and Emax or zirconia crowns,the latter option that I suggested would be permanent and more esthetic.
