Gap Settlement
I have a gap between my front teeth and their corresponding teeth. I want to know which department of dentistry is better prosthodontics or orthodontist. Please help me out and which will be safer and long term.

Hi If the gap is between your front two teeth and it is less than 2 mm then you can go with prosthodontics where crowns,veneers can be done.... If the gap is generalized and more than 2mm then orthodontic considerations should be made Orthodontic way of closure is time consuming but it is one of the natural way of closing the gaps... Depends on degree of gaps between your teeth the treatment option has to be made

If the space is present between all the front teeth then orthodontist is the only option. If the space is between only two center teeth and it is small, it can be corrected by prosthodontist. Large space closure is better managed by orthodontist without compromising the esthetics.
