General Information on Metformin
I am taking metformin 3gm daily along with Januvia and Amaryl. Also Tresiba and Actrapid insulins. I was advised by many medical practitioners that the maximum dose of metformin is 2 gm. Would like to know actual facts I am diagnosed for Type 1 DM at the age of 25. The metformin dose was increased by my doctor when I was prescribed with Tresiba and Actrapid I am doing good with these medicines as the recent HbA1c is 6.5

If you are confirmed type 1 dm then you probably should get your treatment reviewed with a diabetologist
