No. Rabies spreads from the bite of dog or cat which are infected with Rabies. Every bite by dog or cat will not cause infection unless that animal is suffering from Rabies.

No, for rabies virus to spread, it needs a live host like bats, rats,cats,dogs etc and spread through their saliva  after bite. Non living things can't spread rabies infection. However tetanus is one of the infections which spreads through fomites like a nail, mud, rusted iron rod etc. Hope the above information was helpful and cleared your doubt.
