Genital Herpes
Few months back, me and my partner had attempted sex after which I got cold sores and blisters on my vaginal area. On being consulted, the infection got temporarily cured by applying Herpex Ointment and some tablets. However, it is happening again after 3 months (without any physical contact with my partner). I am applying the ointment again. I want to know, how can I be diagnosed accurately that I have HSV-Type 2 infection? How to know who is the host for this virus between the two of us? What are it's implications and disadvantages for future? Can it be cured permanently? What are the precautions which I and my partner should take?

It can be diagnosed by a blood test. Host is difficult now to detect. It reoccurs even in the absence of contact. Use barrier contraception.
