GERD & Pregnancy
I have been having GERD for last couple of years. Currently I'm pregnant in First Trimester. What is the best medication for me? I am currently taking Ranitidine 150mg twice a day, is this safe? Are there alternatives to Ranitidine if I cant find it in a pharmacy?

Ranitidine is a good drug and safe in pregnancy ( category B) and the symptoms of GERD tend to increase with the progress of pregnancy. General measures in GERD : Avoid going to sleep soon after dinner give atleast 2-3 hours, keep your head slightly elevated , avoid tea , coffee and milk especially in the night
