Hello sir, Please consult a dentist . Gum pain may be due to gingival abscess , gum inflammation, may be also due to tooth decay and infection due to a sinus formation. So first know the cause and then get it treated. Medicine cannot be given just like that. Donot self medicate.

The pain could be coming from either the gum itself or an infected tooth. Do hot water gargles with salt and take a painkiller like dolo 650. Consult a dentist asap

Gingival pain has many causes. One of them is accumulation of tartar around the tooth and the overlapping gum. This is the roughness of tartar you must be feeling. You need scaling and polishing. And once the tartar is removed the pain, inflammation of gums, bleeding and the roughness will be gone. The dentist will give you one gum pain eg, Gumex (which you have to massage on the gums - if lower tooth then press the gums and pull it upwards i.e in opposite direction of the tooth grown) and mouthwash eg Chlorhexidine 0.2% (used diluted) which should be used twice a day meticulously. Unless and untill the root caused is removed these medicines wont work. For now take a normal painkiller which you use at home and do luke warm water add a pinch of salt in it and do gargles thrice a day for now. And please visit your dentist ASAP. Take care.

Hi , please consult a dentist to find out the actual cause of the pain. The pain may be either due to gum disease or because of tooth infection. You need to find out the actual cause and treat with respective antibiotics.Taking pain killers will relieve the pain temporarily but the problem will not be resolved .
