Hairfall is a very general compliant. There are lots of things that can cause hairfall and lots of types of hairfall. You have to specify how long you have had hairloss? Which areas of the scalp does it fall from? Are you going bald or is your scalp showing? Do you have any other scalp problems like dandruff? And approximately how many hair you lose per day. As a general suggestion I can advice you to take biotin containing hair supplements daily. Use an anti dandruff shampoo of you have dandruff. If you are going bald then please visit a dermatologist near you. You could be suffering from male pattern baldness which keeps progressing. If you do not treat it early you can go bald permanently in a few years. About shampoos, shampoos do not cause hairfall. A shampoo can dry your hair and break it if it is too rough. It can cause an allergic reaction on your scalp. But it doesn't cause hairfall. You only notice hairfall when you wash your hair and hence may think it is because of the shampoo. The hair which are already loose and about to fall get dislodged and fall when you shampoo. So please do not stop shampooing. If your hairfall does not stop in one month or you are going bald I would suggest you meet a dermatologist near you. Warm regards. Dr. Rajdeep Mysore. Chirag Hospital Bangalore
