Hello sir!
Gum(Gingival) recession is the process in which margin of gum tissue surrounding the teeth wear away exposing more of the tooth. It can be due to periodontal problems, genes, aggressive tooth brushing, insufficient dental care, tobacco usage, malaligned teeth, clenching of tooth.
For mild recession - deep cleaning the area which is called Scaling and root planing(SRP)is enough
If it's severe, gum surgery may be required - open flap SRP, regeneration- folding back the gum tissue and remove the bacteria and a regenerative material- membrane, graft tissue will be applied to naturally regenerate bone and tissue in that area.

Usually it is not required at your age. If there is lot of bone loss , there are bone regeneration procedures. However you should first diagnose the cause of gum recession and treat it or else it will continue. If your occlusion is the problem then you may need to correct your bite by braces to stop further recession
