The hair line receding is due to the progressing Androgenetic Alopecia. Once the hairline is receded the only definite treatment is hair transplant as medical therapy would not work in that. For the decreasing density medical therapy will help to get improvement. Hair loss is a progressive problem and if not tackled in time tends to keep worsening over time. There are various causes of hair fall. Read my health feed for a better detailed understanding. https://fit.practo.com/#!/content/28405 After reading this I hope you will be convinced that a proper thorough examination of your scalp from a qualified dermatologist will be advisable for a fruitful outcome. Also as you say your baldness has progressed significantly , medical management will not suffice and you might also be in need of other supplemental procedures like microneddling and PRP, to achieve good results. You can send me pictures of your scalp on consult chat so i can advice medical treatment or meet any other Dermatologist/Trichologist as per convenience and get further evaluation done.
