Hair transplant
Hi, I have had a lot hair loss in the past 2 years due to winter eczema. I am pondering over the thought of getting a hair transplant. Is it the right time and age? What are the different procedures available? Which one should I opt for? How much will these procedures cost? And, what are the things that I need to know about after care of the hair post transplant? My hairline has receded, but not very much. Hair are predominantly thin in the top central and top rear part of the head.

Have u tried medicine...You are suffering from hormonal changes causing Androgenetic alopecia causing hair fall. It's completely stoppable even regrowth of hair is possible with certain medications without any side effects. Treatment depends on the grade of hair loss. So, it's a must for diagnosing which grade, you are in for an effective treatment. Please  send photos of your head for accurate diagnosis and proper treatment.

Greetings. Too many questions have been asked. I suggest you to see a qualified dermatologist / take a practo direct consult for detailed discussion. To answer some of them, I feel you are a little too young for a transplant, but it depends on how much of hair you have lost. Winter eczema usually doesnt cause so much hairfall, thus a detailed evaluation is suggested. Procedures for hair loss include - microneedling / platelet rich plasma injections and of course hair transplant. You could send in your queries on practo direct consult with your photos. Hope this helps. Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Therapeia Skin Hair and ENT Centre, Bengaluru
