Hairfall from the last 5/6 months
My hair is falling from the last 7-8months. I visit a dermatologists and he prescribed me minoxidil 10% with finasteride tab once daily and Ketoconazole shampoo. I have been using it from last 5/6 months but the hairfall hasn't reduced .there was sign of growth into the 3rd month but right now I am losing around 100hair everyday while shampooing it goes up more . I am thinking of giving a break of 1week and then applying it again but once daily instead of two. My skin is very oily and applying minoxidil causes acne and pimples on my face.... I am also thinking about switching to 5% after one month. So will there be any positive effect from the break and switching And how to control hairfall. Please help

Hi Thanks for your query. Hair in young men is usually attributed to hormones and genetics. Since we are unable to change your genetics, we can take steps to protect the hair you have and fight the effect of hormones and genetics. Options include using vitamins to balance your diet, such as a Hair/Nail/Skin vitamin. Topical medications such as minoxodil to increase blood flow to the hair follicle. Oral medication such as finastride to block the effects of hormones on the hair follicle
Next Steps
Have patience and give medicines time to work.
