Hairline fracture thumb
On saturday while playing cricket,right hand thumb got jammed by ball..i g ot it xrayed and report says undisplaced fracture of phallanx 1st digit...in film it is very minute like a hair.please let me know the further course of action like it would require plaster or splint?im using icepacks and it had reduced all swelling however thumb is stiff and pains in doing any movements

Slab or splint will do. Just continue if for 4 weeks. Do not worry. Medications like Enzomac and identical k2 will help.

It will require a splint application for 2 -3 weeks. It will be fine
