Hand foot mouth

Asked for Male, 2 Years

My 2 years son has sores in mouth red color and on palms n feet. My doctor said its HFM and said no treatment for it and was bit hesitant to talk about it. Did not give any medicine apart from bevon shrup n zytee gel. Please suggest is this a hazardou disease and how to avoid it and how is it caused. Thanks.
