Harm OCD and anxiety
I have early symptoms of harm OCD. Due to which I get anxiety. Is it curable? Initially I thought this is just me. But later as I went through multiple articles I realised a lot of people suffer from this. I also consulted a psychiatrist who prescribed meds but was not very helpful overall. Maybe because it is was a lockdown period and he wanted to hush up through the call. I did not take the meds though. I was okay for a month but again it seems to have resurfaced.

The first step to defeat OCD is to know about it through reputed journals and website. Now we take the question "is it curable" as a Psychiatrist we use the words manageable and treatable. The treatment for OCD include Psychotherapy and Pharmacotherapy (medicines). When we start medicines for OCD it takes minimum 4-6 weeks to know it the medicine is working or not. So it takes time and learning about OCD to treat it.
Next Steps
better to consult a Psychiatrist or a clinical Psychologist in your nearby area as it may require frequent visits for psychoeducation and psychotherapy (counseling)
