Having hallucinations, delusions,
Hi, recently I've been so stressed, and I'm finding it difficult to concentrate. I've also been having memory lapses. Sometimes, I overthink too much and just stare at the floor for a long period. I am worried I may have schizophrenia, do you know how this can be diagnosed. If I was to take a CT scan, what would it show to suggest that I may have schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia cannot be diagnosed with a CAT Scan. The changes in Schizophrenia are at neurotransmitter level, which any of the routinely available scans are unable to pick up. However, a Psychiatrist is able to diagnose  it by reviewing your symptoms and conducting a 'Mental Status Examination' which for a layperson may appear to be a routine conversation. The symptoms reported are more suggestive of Anxiety or Depression rather than Schizophrenia. However, a detailed consultation with Psychiatrist is required to confirm the same.
