It isn't possible to come to a specific diagnosis with the history alone. These palpitations could be caused by : - Strong emotional responses, such as stress, anxiety or panic attacks - Depression - Strenuous exercise - Stimulants, including caffeine, nicotine, cocaine, amphetamines, and cold and cough medications that contain pseudoephedrine - Fever - Hormone changes associated with menstruation, pregnancy or menopause - Too much or to little thyroid hormone I would advise you to get an ECG and undergo other investigations to find the underlying cause of the palpitations. If the problems persist or worsen visit the nearest ER at the earliest.

I want your detailed history..i don't want to treat you blindly without knowing the cause of the problem,I will try my best to treat you. some questions I might ask that will give me little idea about your history 1.    Anyone in the family was diagnosed with this type of illness? 2.    At what age did they receive that diagnosis? 3.    Were any family members diabetics? 4.    Is there a history of heart disease in the family? 5.    Has there been a diagnosis of mental illness? If so, what was the condition and who has been diagnosed with it? 6.    Have family members been struggling with other issues such as asthma, high blood pressure, alcoholism, or other substance abuse? please givme a feedback ASAP.
