It depends upon how big the hiatus hernia is. If the hernia is large then it usually affects the normal eating to a considerable extent. Also in such case medicinesusually are not effective. Plz send me your endoscopy report so that it will help in determining what treatment exactly you would need

[ ] Hi as your symptoms are suggestive of gastritis.Follow some lifestyle changes. Take your food timely. Avoid cabbage, capsicum, citrus fruits ( for a while). Don't drink water with food, take after 40 min. as much as you want thereafter. Don't lie down immediately after food. Finish your night meal by 8.30 pm maximum. Go to bed after minimum 1 hour after dinner. Always keep your stomach 1/4 th empty. You can divide your meal into 5-6 times a day. Avoid the particular food, which you observed that after taking you feel bloating, fullness, upper abdominal pain/ discomfort, reflux symptoms etc. Some times in intractable cases one need to go ahead with Upper Gastroscopy to rule out gastric ulcer/erosions and presence of H PYLORI infection.Feel free to ask any further quary related to your problem. Regards.
