I will be going to Ladakh for an 8 day trip. What medicine should I take to avoid altitude sickness? What should be the dosage and duration? Kindly advise.

Normally a slow ascent is better so that you do not suffer from any sickness.specific medicines can be given on a preventive basis but a physical examination should be done for that

Diamox 250 one twice daily 12 hrs before journey for 2:3 days in all If by road travel usually no need, this is for altitude sickness If you prefer to rest for one two days at leh then also no need
