High blood pressure
Nowadays my father is under stress and also he is having cough since 2 months ,chest x-ray, ecg,blood sugar are normal but Since 4-5 days his bp is rising , it's 150/98,sometimes it decreases sometimes it increases.. he always had normal bp but now doctor have prescribed him telmisatan for 5 days ..my question is should he take the medicines for life long ? Or he should discontinue after 5 days If bp comes to normal ???

Do continue medications as per the doctor. If the bp continue to be high he may have to take life long...and it is beneficial in the long run
