High CPK but normal CK-MB
Hello sir.. Recently my blood reports showed high potassium levels so i was asked to get checked my CPK as well.. Today i got report and CPK total came out to be 586 (range is 2-200 u/l) and CK-MB is 5.19 (range < 6.22 ng/ml) Please advise me how to go abt this elevated CPK level..and if CK-MB is normal then why total CPK is high?

Need to evaluate history and examination to understand your illness. how high was potassium and has it been rechecked? CPK- MB normal means, your heart is probably not having any ischemia (decreased blood supply). CPK comes from muscles.
Health Tips
recheck potassium from standard lab.
