Hi, Upon an eye doctor's recommendation, I did a blood test and in that it was shown that my serum triglycerides and vldl cholesterol are out of limits. Is this anything I should be worried about and require further diagnosis? what care should I be taking about it?

In case of isolated raised triglycerides, that too not marginal,  we generally do not preder to straightaway to drugs. I ll advise you to modify your lifestyle, as the medications used to treat this condition has a lot of side effects including severe muscle aches.
Next Steps
1. Brisk walk of 30 minutes every day for 5 days a week. 2. Dietary modification (consult online for diet counselling) 3. Add more fibres and plenty of water to your diet. practice this for 6 months. then repeat your lipid profile. Don't worry. Let me know if you have other risk factors like Diabetes or Thyrpid problems.
