My mothere age is 51 and she is an asthama patient since 25+ yrs....Today she had a blood check up in which normal range was (6000-10000) but hers was 19700.....In her DLC eosophills count was 12 whereas normal was upto 8...
Dr has advised her to take 10 injections and antibiotic treatment and he also performed one more test which was basically for discovery whether it was bacterial or viral infection..
Last few days

Her high Total leucocyte count of 19700 suggests a bacterial infection of respiratory tract, which is common in asthmatics. She needs to take a course of antibiotics, which should control the infection and the fever.
