High TSH for Pregnancy
I have been taking Thyronorm 50mcg for last one year. My thyroid level for last 6 months is at 3.55. I am currently planning for a baby. Should I change the dose to bring it below 2? I am 31 years old. My TSH before thyronorm was 4.9. T4 is normal and within limits

Hi, Yes, you are right. During pregnancy Dose of thyroxin is increased to maintain TSH within reference range. reference ranges as recommended are: first trimester, 0.1–2.5 mIU/L; second trimester, 0.2–3.0 mIU/L; third trimester, 0.3–3.0 mIU/L. You should contact your physician and get yourself clinically examined and get investigated. They may guide you regarding doses.
