Hello dear Thanks for reaching out First of all ankylosing spondylitis is extremely rare in females, so i hope we have enough evidences for the disease. So now considering the diagnosis is correct, your doctor is unfortunately right about the treatment. In fact she might need some surgical treatment at some point of time if the disease causes her back to be stiff and forward bent, or if the disease involves other joints of the body.. That being said, neurobion forte is a vitamin supplement and has no role in altering the course of this particular disease. There are specific medicines to control the disease. Regards Dr Vipin Gupta

She seems to be suffering from one of the arthropathies called Ankylosing Spondylitis.. It can be controlled by medicines.. Neurobion injection is vit B12. It can be given as a supplement..
Next Steps
She needs to consult a Rheumatologist and start medicines specific for the problem.  She may require to continue medicines for long time depending on the condition of pain and joint stiffness..  She will need to do exercises to avoid stiffness in body.
