How to stop feeding
My daughter is 1 year old and I'm feeding her till now. I'm planning to stop feeding her. One of the main reason being, especially during the night, though she is sleepy, she sleeps only if she is feeding. If I try to stop feeding, she cries and don't sleep. So, I continued to do it. Now it has become a habit for my kid to feed the whole night. I'm not sure on how to stop it. I tried the alternative of feeding bottle but no help. She is not taking that. Can you please advise on this?

A child breast feeds not just for nutrition but also for soothing ,this appears the case with your baby .your child has got into a habit of non nutritive sucking in night and the moment you separate her from you she starts crying. Firstly a one year old child can be offered foods like halva, porrige, suji kheer, egg etc which have high fat content with adequate protein . These foods keep the child feeling full and you have to be a little patient with your child be persistent with your efforts if the child is crying do not offer breast feed.just pat the child.try getting the baby to sleep .
Next Steps
decrease baby's total milk intake replace it with solids
Health Tips
giving the baby enough workout in the whole day using a baby gym or other activities would hep the baby fall asleep better.

Madam you need to understand that breastfeeding can be continued till 2yrs of age. Breastfeeding during sleep is mostly non nutritive. So if you have no health issues you can continue breastfeeding till 2yrs.
