Hrct chest scan on 1 year old baby
My 1 year baby has undergone Hrct scan for covid test.Is it safe for him at this age. Got to know there would me more radiation hazardous with this scan .how does it affect my child in future. is there anything that we can do to prevent side effects .I'm so much worried. Technique used for Hrct chest(mentioned in the report): Hrct chest was performed on light speed VCT 32 MDCT scanner using 0.625mm collimation. Axial and coronal reconstructions at 1mm Could you please explain how much radiation dose is used for the scan from above mentioned details. Attaching the report.

No point in discussing now once u have under gone with the test Also it was done to detect the lung involvent as it is considered very sensitive in covid so trust ur doctor and don't think much about side-effect
