After telisartan 40 mg once daily , if bp settles at 140-150/80. Is it OK . I have herd that till 160 systolic there is no major risk and previously before the pharma majors took control 160 systolic was considered as threshold which is now shifted to 140.

Hi..... Making healthy lifestyle changes can help reduce your chances of getting high blood pressure and help lower your blood pressure if it's already high..... Some people with high blood pressure may also need to take one or more medicines to stop their blood pressure getting too high..... The medication recommended for you will depend on things like how high your blood pressure is and your age......
