One thing is to understand that you have been diagnosed with diabetes 3 months ago but you may well have diabetes go for some time before that.
The other thing is the ultimate goal of treatment is to prevent future diabetes complications. Hence the sooner you start treatment, the more better it is for you to prevent such complications.
