Gastritis is due to undigested food in your stomach. Generally this is because of low acidity.
Do a small experiment, take spoon of apple cider vinegar diluted in warm water and drink after your meals. If you feel increase in burning then it might be due to high acidity but if no chance then you might be producing less gastric acid to digest proteins in the food.
