I have trigger finger. Brace for this!

Your complain makes it quite probable that you have trigger finger, the way to proceed is to get a blood sugar test done and a dose of local depot steroid can be injected in the sheath, that will help, else a small surgery is needed. You can wear a splint with finger in extension only at night, this may help ease pain, if it dosent proceed to second step, but get it injected by a hand surgeon.
