If you have to take the teeth slightly in , the dentist has to check the amount of reduction required also they ll have to decide on if taking those teeth so much is possible or an additional procedure like intentional RCT is required or no . If the veneer are placed to closed the front gap then generally it's an easy procedure . A mock up is done before the final veneer cutting in order to check if u like the new positioning or the shape of teeth . Also first the dentist will reduce the teeth slightly followed by making impression to send it to the lab . Along the entire procedure you will have temporary veneers . A trial is done in order to check so that the colour matches well . Following this the final veneer is bonded . As you also suggested you need to change your metal cap you can get it replaced with an eMac or a zirconia crown (these are full ceramic crowns)
