Improve breast milk

Hi there, I have twin babies. They are 5 months old. Suddenly milk supply dropped. They are on formula now. I am taking galact granules and Lactare capsules. Still no much use. Pls let me know how to get milk supply increased. I tried using breast pump. I hardly get 40 ml of milk

Consult Now

Try breast feeding every 2 hourly.Use formula only in case of emergency.Continue Galact granules twice a day with milk.

Hi. If they have completed 5 months and are on formula feeds more than mother’s milk then you can start complementary feeds like vegetables/ fruits purée.

Hi,since you have twin babies there are chances that you might have an early lactation failure.However ,if it is sudden,get a TSH test done...its a blood test for hypothyroidism,also if you have family history of hypothyroidism...all the more you need to het one done. Another advice is put tje babies to breast...that is the best stimulation for milk secretion, avoid using breast pump. You can continue with Cap Lactare and Galact granules.
