Increase in CEA level from 1.65 to 2.68
Cea level increase from 1.65 to 2.68 post 15 months of colon cancer surgery for non smoking n rare drinking case  . While the Cea pre surgery was 2.60 . But all the routine checkup were normal . Whether it's increase is concern for us ? Thanks in advance

Slight increase in cea is fine especially if it has been done from a different lab. I would suggest to do another cea after a month or two to see the trend. If it is continually upward then it is a cause for worry and I would suggest a pet scan
