Infections
My 1yr11months old son used to suffer frequently (once in two months) from viral/bacterial infections.. Last month had severe bacterial infection with 105F fever..CRP count was 84 which was way to high than normal.. Treated with Antibiotics like zanocin for 10 days and Amikacin 150 (Inter Venus) for 6 days..CRP count down to 1.6 but the Lymphocyte count became 73 which is on the higher side.. Is it normal to have infections so frequently ?? What we must do now to prevent this ?? It is not good to treat a kid with lots of antibiotics everytime ... Pls suggest if any further tests needed...

Children up-to 8 years have less immunity as compared to adults. Till that age,a child will fall sick average 5-6 times a year. As long as they are minor infections, relax. After this age,as you will see yourself, rate of infection falls drastically. Just give him a good, nutritious diet, and make sure he gets good physical activity.
