  3. Inflamed Liver. Is functioning properly?

I have had an inflamed liver for a little bit of time now. I know this because I have high alt and ast levels, however, in all the other liver test it seems as if I have a 100% functioning liver. I rarely drink and only have done it occasionally for a year or so. My question is: is it unsafe to drink while having this inflamation even though my liver is functioning properly?
