Ingested plastic fork tine
I'm 23 weeks pregnant and accidentally ingested a whole plastic fork tine (somewhat broken up because I chewed it, not realizing what it was) Wednesday night. I didn't realize until I was done eating, there was no main when swallowed. Since then I've had a bit of reflux, feel the need to clear my throat (a bit of phlegm), and random small burps. My chest feels a little strange but I can't tell if I'm just being paranoid or not. Saw the doc yesterday, he didn't seem concerned, and told me to take some Pepcid AC for the next few days and to give him a follow up call. It's Friday AM and I'm still concerned, considering these symptoms started after I ingested the plastic.

I do not think it should be a problem. But a gastroenterologist will be better in answering your query

I understand your concern. No need to worry madam. If you ingested plastic too no issue, your gut acid will destroy it there and then. No need to do any intervention. It wont harm your baby by any means. Just take the antacid prescribed by your doc. For few days. And dont rethink over this. Trust the dr. It wont harm u nd ur baby. So relax and go on nd njoy
