Ingrown nail
Hello... I have an ingrown toe nail since 15 years... Can it be cured ? I have also shared photographs of my nail. I am already taking some medications since 6 months - details are given. But still I don't see much difference. Can this problem be genuinely cured or is it better to leave it, as it is ?

Greetings. This looks like fungal infection of the nail which may be causing the ingrowing toe nail. Fungal infection of nail is quite common. You'll need to see a dermatologist for confirmation of infection and treatment with oral antifungals and nail lacquer. If there's resistance to one particular medicine another medicine may be needed depending on your improvement. DO NOT SELF MEDICATE..Usually toe nail infection requires 3 to 12 months of treatment depending on the medication used. Hope this helps
