Iron overload when pregnant
I have received blood results and they came back with my iron being a bit overloaded. I am currently 4 weeks pregnant and have been advised to stop taking elevit and just take a folic acid supplement. My father is a carrier for haemochromatosis. I have not been tested for this yet but is it likely i could be a carrier or have the disease since my iron is overloaded? I don't think it was by a lot. Also, is there a way i can lower my iron naturally?
