Irregular periods
I am 15 years old and started my periods in 2013. But ever since I am having irregular periods with a gap of 2 to3 months. Now I have been diagnosed with polycyst ovarian disease and my blood report says that follicle stimulating harmones are 42.82. My doctor says it is too high. PCOS is a hormonal disorder present in 15 - 20% of females. Irregular periods, facial hairs, acne are usually seen. The first treatment modality is weight loss in obese patients. COCPs, anti androgens, Metformin, clomifen and other treatment modalities are to be used based on Individual needs. Patients are risk of infertility, diabetes during pregnancy, diabetes in future life.
